Dr. Oakley is a board-certified specialist in both Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation and in Equine Practice. She is a leader in the field of musculoskeletal ultrasound and is one of the few veterinarians in this country certified by the International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology (ISELP). She has extensive expertise in sports medicine and rehabilitation of sport related injuries. In addition, she is also certified in Spinal Manipulation (chiropractic) and trained in acupuncture and myofascial therapies, combining the best of both worlds to treat your horse.

 

Dr. Oakley has lectured nationally and internationally on equine ultrasound and teaches advanced ultrasound to veterinarians.

Her continual education in regenerative medicine and dedication to excellence ensure that each horse receives the highest level of care.

A classical dressage rider, Dr. Oakley is particularly interested in the use of foundational dressage exercises as part of physical therapy and rehabilitation protocols. The welfare of the horse is always her first priority and all treatments are based on the long term health and comfort of the horse.​​​
