Join us for a 2-day practical, hands-on wet lab covering lameness evaluations, joint injections, and ultrasound.

​Day 1 Lameness Evaluation and Ultrasound Guided Injections. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to practice skills and techniques on live horses.

Day 2 Ultrasound Evaluation of suspensory ligaments, foot/pastern, back, sacroiliac, hip, and/or stifle.

Hands-on lameness assessments, nerve blocks, and workup of actual cases with interactive case discussions.​

Ultrasound guided injections of the neck, back, and hip.

Practical ultrasound of the:

- Front and hind suspensory

- Foot and pastern

- Back, sacroiliac, hip, and/or stifle.

About Your Instructors:

Dr. Suzan Oakley

Dr. Suzan Oakley

Dr. Oakley is a board-certified specialist in both Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation and in Equine Practice. She is certified by the International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology (ISELP) and teaches musculoskeletal ultrasound to veterinarians in addition to her sport horse practice. She has spent her career in solo practice, from backyard horses in rural Volusia County, Florida to elite sport horses in Wellington, Florida. She has extensive expertise in sports medicine and rehabilitationof sport related injuries and has a special interest in treating geriatric lameness in horses. In addition, she is a classical dressage rider and is particularly interested in the use of foundational dressage exercises as part of physical therapy and rehabilitation protocols at her rehabilitation center in Loxahatchee, Florida.​

Dr. Bonny Henderson

Dr. Bonny Henderson is an equine veterinarian with over 30 years of experience and a strong focus on sport horse medicine, lameness, and rehabilitation. She has owned and operated Henderson Equine Clinic in Avon, NY for 25 years, growing it from a solo ambulatory practice to a three-doctor clinic. Dr. Henderson is certified in equine lameness pathology (ISELP), rehabilitation (CERP), acupuncture (Chi), and chiropractic (IVCA). She is the published author of Equine Health and Emergency Management, and an active member of multiple professional organizations.
